I started reading the book last weekend, I'm already halfway through. It's a quick and interesting read. Lots of things to discuss during our next meeting. It's also exciting that I've been in all the places mentioned until now.
There are also a couple of dishes mentioned that we could have as munchies for our meeting. And beer, or whiskey, or both!

So- Cannery Row is a real place? And Montery? I'll have to google all the locations... I love doing that.
Monterey California, they got a great aquarium there. My sister goes visit all the time.
Cannery Row is a road in Monterey and of course they remind you that Steinbeck wrote the book there.
i heard that cannery row was just a nickname at the time but that now it's official
